Boyle Cup
It
was a Philadelphia Cricket finals as Alison Shoemaker and
Francis Vaughn (right) successfully defended and won the Boyle
Cup 2 & 1
over fellow clubmates Bonnie Kay and Bryan Winsko.
The efforts and special amenities of Barbara Papso and Jim Smith
made a very enjoyable week for all participants and Committee
at
Philadelphia Cricket's Wissahickon Course.

Griscom Cup
Wilmington's
Gail and Chris Anderson won the Family Mixed Foursome
for the Frances Biddle Griscom Cup with a 2 under par 68.
The Class B winners will be determined by an 18-hole playoff between
Ali and Jim Tutelman, Green Valley and Caitlin and Robert O'Connor,
Huntingdon Valley who tied at 75. Repeat winners of Class C were
Yardley's Jackie and Paul Rogowicz with a 74.

Women's Championship
Whitford's
Laura Ladden won her third consecutive and seventh total
Women's Match Play Championship at Rolling Green Golf Club.
The WGAP President, Beryl Craft, presented the Glenna Collett
Vare Cup to Laura.

Effie Derr Robey Cup

returned to Merion West for a playoff to determine the winners
of the
Effie Derr Robey Cup. Sue and Judy were victorious by two strokes.

Bob

Mater et Filia & Lady-Junior Girl
They
did it again! Judith and Katie Dwyer won the Mater et Filia for
the
4th year in a row. Tavistock's Susan & Ali Kirk won the 14-17
year old
division and Lynn & Jackie Rogowicz from Yardley were the
winners
of the 9-hole group.

With an 82 Christine Gregor and Tierney Sadowl from Huntingdon
Valley
were victorious in the Lady-Junior Girl.

Square's Mary Kunkemueller won the Ida E. Dixon Cup by one storke

WGAP
President Beryl Craft and Captain Liz Haines, presented the Griscom
Cup to Massachusetts' winning team. The 104th Inter-City Matches
were held at Somerset Hills Country Club, Bernardsville, New Jersey.

With
an even par 74, Philadelphia Cricket's Kerry Rutan and Marji Goldman
won the Seventieth Annual Nonna Barlow Cup on Merion Golf Club's

WGAP Chairmen's Scramble
On
a beautiful day at Whitford, the team of Courtney Robertson (Sunnybrook),
Jane Holloway (Wilmington), Debbie Kegler (Yardley) and Nancy
Young (Links) won the Chairmen's Scramble. Golf was followed
by a delicious buffet luncheon and interesting discussion of topics

Meghan Bolger, Tavistock Country Club, has been selected as a member of the eight player team to represent the United States in the 2008 Curtis Cup Matches to be held on the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland, May 30 – June 1, 2008. Additional information is available on the USGA web site.
